ABOUT US
Lombard Scotch Whisky was established in the 1960s and
entered the market as suppliers of bulk whisky to
blenders. The company acquired a stock base by laying
down fillings at selected distilleries, to hold, mature
and bottle. The 1990s witnessed the malt whisky category
develop and Lombard diversify their interests to the
Single Malt cased goods market - the company’s first
move to control the utilisation of mature stock.
Administration is established on the Isle of Man (an old
Scottish isle between Ireland and Scotland).

BULK SCOTCH WHISKY AND TRADE BUSINESS
Lombard are leading whisky brokers in the market and can
supply most requests for Malt, Grain and Blended Scotch
Whiskies in tanker, drum or casks (butts, barrels and
hogsheads).
Tankers: these are typically 24,000 litre shipping
tankers (not road tankers)
Drums: these are typically 220 litres plastic drums,
with a 210 litre fill. Shipped in 20 foot containers, 80
drums per container.
Casks:
Barrels - 130 litres of alcohol
Hogsheads - 160 litres of alcohol
Butts - 320 litres of alcohol.
Trade orders for bottled stock typically starts at one
pallet
(approx. 115 cases at 6 bottles per case, 950kgs)
Container Business. 1x20' container (FCL) holds 10-11
pallets of cases or approx. 1200 cases if hand balled
(loaded by hand)
